Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the surface of front teeth. Veneers can be used to improve the form of irregular teeth, cover discoloration and reduce gaps between teeth.
The color and shape of the veneers are matched for a long-lasting and natural-looking smile.
– Cover stained or discolored teeth
– Close gaps between teeth
– Repair small chips or cracking
– Correct irregularly shaped teeth
Your Arlington dentist will first prepare the surface enamel of the front teeth. This treatment requires little to no anesthesia.
A digital impression of the teeth will then be taken, from which the veneers will be custom made.
At your next appointment at our dentist in Arlington VA, Dr. Kanbaragha will check the fit and color of the veneers before bonding them into place over your teeth. Further polishing may be required to complete the procedure.
Dental veneers are a long-lasting cosmetic dental treatment, lasting up to 10 years or more with good care. Dr. Kanbaragha will advise you on how to look after your veneers after your treatment.
Veneers are the longest-lasting method of cosmetic dentistry. They can easily last 10-20 years with proper care and oral hygiene. They are incredibly stain-resistant and durable. In addition to this, porcelain veneers also require minimal special care. Simply brush twice a day, floss once a day, and see the team at Dentazure for a checkup every six months.
Not only that, but veneers are extremely versatile. With a set of veneers, you can cover up almost any cosmetic flaw in just 2 appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks. You’ll be able to feel confident about your appearance, smile proudly, and never feel self-conscious when speaking, laughing, or eating around others.
The ideal candidate for veneers has a healthy mouth, but has cosmetic problems such as uneven teeth, gaps between the teeth, misshapen teeth, severe tooth stains, and other such problems.
Veneers are ideal for correcting most aesthetic issues with your teeth, but they do require a mouth that’s free of problems like gum disease and tooth decay. If present, these problems will need to be treated before you can get porcelain veneers in Arlington from Dentazure. To see if you’re a good candidate, contact us and schedule a consultation with Dr. Rina Kanbaragha. We serve patient in Arlington, Crystal City, and D.C.!
After your initial consultation, getting veneers takes 2 appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks. At your first appointment, Dr. Kanbaragha will clean and numb your mouth, then remove a small amount of enamel from each tooth that’s getting a veneer. Then, she will take digital impressions of your teeth, and send this information to a dental lab. You’ll be sent home with a set of temporary veneers.
Next, our partner dental lab will build your permanent porcelain veneers using your scans. This process may take 2-3 weeks. Once your veneers are done, they’ll be sent to Dentazure, and you’ll come in for your final appointment.
To begin, your dentist in Arlington, VA will remove your temporaries, then check the fit of each veneer. She’ll make minor adjustments, if needed, and then bond each veneer in place permanently. As the final step, she’ll buff and polish your teeth, then she’ll send you home to enjoy your picture-perfect new smile.
No. Veneers are not reversible. They require the removal of a thin layer of enamel from your teeth. Usually, Dr. Kanbaragha only has to remove about 0.5mm of enamel. This isn’t much, but it is enough to weaken your teeth.
Now, this doesn’t mean that veneers ruin your teeth. Once your veneers are placed, your teeth will be just as strong as they were before treatment, if not stronger. But if your veneers are removed, your teeth will be weaker and more prone to things like tooth decay.
